The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved an order for the procurement of energy services to improve the energy efficiency of 6 military sites.

The list of objects includes the following facilities:

military camp # 113 in Kyiv;

military camp #6 in the town of Gorodok in Zhytomyr region.

The implementation of the ESCO mechanism will allow, at the expense of private investment, the following measures:

Implement the necessary energy efficiency measures;

upgrade the equipment;

reduce the consumption of fuel and energy resources;

save significant budget funds spent on utilities and energy carriers.

The announcement of ESCO tenders in the PROZORRO e-Procurement System is expected in the near future (https://prozorro.gov.ua).

It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense is working on energy service in close cooperation with the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving within the framework of the Memorandum on Partnership concluded in 2018.
