  • Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development sets up headquarters to help Ukrainian drivers who remain blocked at the Polish border

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, told that Ukrainian drivers had been blocked at the Polish border for more than 10 days. The queue in the direction of Yahodyn stretches for more than 30 km, in the direction of Rawa Ruska - more than 10 km, in the direction of Krakivets - more than 16 kilometres.

The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, together with relevant associations and carriers, has set up a Headquarters for Assistance to Ukrainian Drivers. Its key task is to provide our people with food, drinking water, medicines and fuel.

For each of the three border chechpoints is assigned a coordinator who collects needs and is in constant contact with drivers. Ukrtransbezpeka's hotline +38 (067) 120 0483 is also available around the clock.

Today, an initiative team is already working at the border, with 11,000 food kits, drinking water and essential medicines.

The Ministry, together with the relevant agencies, will also facilitate the evacuation of drivers to the territory of Ukraine, if necessary.

The Centre will remain operational until the border is unblocked and traffic through the checkpoints is restored.
