The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has published a report on the results of activities in 2018. Since the introduction of the Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade activities for three years and that of the Government, this is the third annual report prepared by the specialists of the Ministry.

Thus, on July 24, 2017, on the initiative of the First Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv, the Strategic Action Plan of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine for 2017-2020 was approved with the mandatory annual update of it for one year ahead.

"Our mission is to create conditions to ensure the competitiveness of Ukraine's economy. It is the basis for sustainable economic growth and improving the quality of life of our citizens. Strategic planning allows the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to guarantee the systematic implementation of key tasks for the medium term, contributes to more predictable economic policies and better coordination of the work of state authorities, businesses, industry associations and civil society in achieving important goals and results", said Stepan Kubiv.

With the purpose of implementation of the aforesaid mission and priority tasks in the economic bloc, which are contained in the Medium-Term Government Priority Action Plan up to 2020, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has identified three strategic goals for its activities:

• development of competition, small and medium-sized business;

• creating conditions for a technological breakthrough;

• creating conditions for economic independence.

Each of the annual reports on the results of the work of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade contains structured information in accordance with the goals and results achieved during the reporting period, as well as difficulties in the process of fulfilling the tasks.
