The Commission for the Coordination of Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine (hereinafter - the Commission), chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, has approved the list of responsible executors of the measures within the framework of the goals of the adapted Annual National Programme (ANP) for 2024.
"In the process of working closely with NATO Headquarters and member states on the draft ANP, a concise document was prepared that takes into account the realities of russia's full-scale armed aggression and aims to increase Ukraine's defence capabilities as a future ally. The ministries have already started working on the implementation of the identified reforms, which is a necessary element of our preparation for full membership in the Alliance," said Olha Stefanishyna.
The draft ANP was approved by the Commission on 27 November 2023 and presented to the Allies at the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of Foreign Ministers of Allied countries in Brussels on 29 November.
The adapted Annual National Programme for 2024 was assessed as being in line with the Alliance's vision of Ukraine's approach to implementing Euro-Atlantic reforms. As part of the Comprehensive Assistance Package, Allies will support institutional transformation, including increasing transparency in defence procurement, achieving interoperability standards, improving the system of organising and providing medical and social assistance to defenders.
The development of the aANP for 2024 was coordinated by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna and the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
