Kherson region: current situation with regard to eliminating consequences of Kakhovka HPP dam blast

As of 08:00 on June 16, the water level on the Dnipro River at the Kherson gauge station is gradually decreasing and is at 1.37 metres.

17 settlements (1,649 houses) on the right bank of the Dnipro River and 17 settlements on the temporarily occupied territory remain flooded.

A total of 2,782 people have been evacuated in Kherson region, including 309 children and 78 people with reduced mobility. 716 people were rescued, including 30 children and 40 people with reduced mobility. Psychological assistance was provided to 398 people. Since the start of work, the Rescue Services 101 and 112 have received 1,536 calls from citizens. 14 evacuation points have been set up.

Rescuers are pumping out water. Over the past 24 hours, 22,000 tonnes of water were pumped out of 88 houses and basements (since the start of the work, more than 59,000 tonnes have been pumped out of 245 houses and basements), and 69 motor pumps were used.

Over the past day, on June 15, the rescuers delivered 49 tonnes of water (including 36 tonnes of drinking water) and 4,495 kg of food and essential goods to the citizens.
