  • Government approves decision to pay financial aid to flood victims

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 564,875,000 to the Kherson and Mykolaiv regional military administrations to help the affected population as a result of the russian federation's blowing up of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam.

Each person affected by the flooding will receive a one-off financial assistance of UAH 5,000.

The payments will be organised by the Kherson and Mykolaiv Regional Administrations.

In addition, under a joint agreement with our partners, all those affected will receive additional financial assistance from the UN International Organization for Migration. It will amount to UAH 6,600 per person.

"I am grateful to the Government for its prompt response. The best way to help people is to provide money and without delay. I would like to express special gratitude to the International Organization for Migration for responding and being ready to support people in need," said Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
