The decentralization reform introduced in 2014 was a political will of the President, the Prime Minister and the Parliament. Over the past 5 years local budgets of the consolidated communities have grown, state support has been increased, but it is imperative to direct funds at improving the quality of life of people. The quality of people's lives, and this concerns education, healthcare, administrative services, social programs are the most crucial things.
This was emphasized by the Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko at the Regional Development Council in Poltava.
"New Educational Spaces are created in 14 educational institutions. 27 new outpatient clinics are under construction at the initiative of the President of Ukraine on development of the primary healthcare in the countryside. A network of Centers for Administrative Services Provision (CASPs) is being built, 19 CASPs are operating in the region. Due to the active role of community leaders in schools, the direction of inclusive education appears. The development of these key components can bring the country to regional leaders among European states. And the President sets this task before the regions ", Hennadii Zubko stressed.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the uniqueness of each region is a key to the success of the entire Ukraine.
"Poltava region is a pearl on the map of Ukraine, which can facilitate industrial development, industrial production, food and processing industry, development of the agrarian sector. 33% of Poltava residents live in rural areas, and therefore the development of human potential is very important here, including for the needs of the agrarian sector. It is not only a large-scale production, not only powerful agricultural holdings, but also a comprehensive support of farm business. Farming should be more powerful in this region. In this direction, the Poltava Regional State Administration introduced a targeted program to support farmers by loans and compensations for the purchase of agricultural machinery ", Hennadii Zubko emphasized.
As for the industrial sector, mechanical engineering, from industrial and other enterprises tpday generates 50% revenues of the regional budget.
The President Petro Poroshenko sets specific tasks to support the development of the IT industry for the next 5 years. And today, the demand for industrial and agrarian complexes for the IT product is growing. Only 10% of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine in the field of agriculture use modern IT solutions
Not least important is the development of tourism sector of Poltava region.This concerns not only the number of projects or activities that are conducted in the region, but also the implementation of various services.
"I would like to thank the communities of Poltava region who have already signed inter-municipal agreements for the development of" green tourism". Therefore, I think today Poltava region has to focus on priority directions that require improvement. And in addition, there is also a successful experience, which we will spread throughout Ukraine.
