Power engineers do their utmost to reduce power cuts, says Anatolii Zamulko

Energy companies continue to work around the clock to ensure that Ukraine's power system remains stable and functions as a single complex even under such extremely difficult conditions. This was announced by Anatolii Zamulko, acting head of the State Inspectorate of Energy Supervision of Ukraine, on air of the Yedyni Novyny (Unified News) national telethon.

According to him, today the power system is balanced thanks to domestic generation, electricity imports, and the use of electricity consumption restriction schedules for industrial and residential consumers. Meanwhile, energy companies are constantly working to minimize the impact of applying the outage schedules.

“The schedules are in effect for one and a half to three waves, but energy companies are constantly working to reduce their number. Now there is a unified approach to schedules throughout the country, which makes energy system management more flexible. As soon as there is an opportunity to reduce power cuts, it is done immediately,” Anatolii Zamulko emphasized.

The head of the State Inspection stressed that russia's attacks on the energy infrastructure remain targeted – the enemy is striking at generation and distribution networks. But specialists work hard to quickly replace damaged equipment and restore electricity supply.

“The most difficult situation is in the border and frontline regions: Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia. Some of the equipment there has been put out of action due to shelling, but restoration work is continuing without interruption,” Anatoliy Zamulko noted.

Despite constant attacks, Ukraine's power system remains integrated and stabilized thanks to the coordinated efforts of specialists.

Anatolii Zamulko called on Ukrainians to reduce their electricity consumption, especially in the evening.

“The most complicated period for the system is from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Avoid turning on powerful appliances simultaneously. Energy companies are adapting to your needs, but your help is also extremely important,” he stressed.
