Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, posted 13 December 2024 16:21

Ukrainians have begun to use the assistance received from the state under the Winter ePidtrymka program. The main categories of expenses were utilities, mobile communications and donations to the Armed Forces. In particular, people spent 63% of their money on utilities, 17% on mobile communications, and about 4% on donations to the military through charities and volunteer organizations.

In total, Ukrainians have contributed about UAH 720 million in the first few days of the campaign.

“The Winter ePidtrymka program initiated by the President really helps people. The first payments coincided with the period of utility bills, and we can see that the funds from the state have come in handy. A family of two adults and two children will be able to pay for a number of utilities or cover other urgent expenses. We support people in difficult times. We encourage those who do not need government assistance to donate these funds to the army,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Utility providers are asking to pay for utilities by the 20th of the month, so those who have not yet done so can use Winter ePidtrymka to pay their bills. Numerous charitable foundations have also announced their interest in raising a thousand for the needs of the defense forces.

The money from the state for applications in the Diia is transferred to the National Cashback card within 10 working days. On December 10-11, the state paid assistance to 1.8 million adults and 520,000 children, i.e. those who applied on December 1. The applications submitted through Diia on December 2 and 3 will be processed in the near future.

As of December 13, the number of applications in Diia has already reached 6.8 million, including 1.8 million for children.

The application for Winter ePidtrymka can be submitted by the end of February and the funds can be spent by the end of 2025. The program is available to all citizens in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine.

Ukrposhta has also started paying out Winter ePidtrymka. It provides assistance to citizens who receive pensions and other social benefits through Ukrposhta.

What can the money be spent on?

To pay for utilities, medical services, education, transportation, mobile communications, insurance and other services. To buy books and other printed materials, medicines and medicinal products and medical devices made in Ukraine, which are registered in the National Cashback program and sold in the program's outlets. You can also spend UAH 1,000 on charity or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
