The opportunities and benefits offered by the European intergration for Ukrainians were discussed in Dnipro. The conference with the participation of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, the leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration, representatives of the city council, businesses, public organizations, education took place within the framework of the information campaign "European integration: power of opportunities" and gathered more than 300 people.
During the opening of the conference, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze recalled that EU-Ukraine Association Agreement is the most extensive and ambitious document ever signed by the European Union with a third country, and the Free Trade Area with the EU opens up many opportunities for Ukrainian enterprises to export their own products.
The Vice Prime Minister emphasized that in the first half of 2018, export from Ukraine to the EU grew by 19.2% compared with the same period last year, while in the total volume of foreign trade, the EU's share in exports is already 42.1%. "Business that has long been oriented towards post-soviet markets understood the need for change. In conditions of Russian aggression, entrepreneurs were forced to make quick decisions and switch the course in order to be competitive in the EU market ", she stressed.
She noted that Dnipropetrovsk region in many branches demonstrates an example of European integration processes and has all chances to become a leader in the introduction of digital services as part of the European market: "First of all, digital services are actively and efficiently developed in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This is important, as we have defined a digital market as one of the priorities of further deepening of Ukraine's integration with the EU".
"The best practices of Dnipro are an example for the whole Ukraine, as large consolidated communities can be united for the sake of change, erode stereotypes and be a reliable base for the defense of the state. The Armed Forces are fighting 700 kilometers away from Dnipro because the empire does not let Ukraine go. However, this only convinces us of the correctness of the chosen path - the path to development, democracy and the rule of law", Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed.
