The first meeting of Deputy Ministers for European Integration with experts representing NGOs was held upon the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba. The meeting was aimed to establish a practical working dialogue and to jointly accelerate the integration of Ukraine into the European Union and NATO.
The first meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister, line Deputy Ministers and NGO representatives took place on December 26.
"We have set ambitious goals for European integration to conclude the ACAA with the European Union, launching the so-called industrial free visa regime, to significantly strengthen sectoral integration. It is important for us to establish collaboration and speak with one voice in these issues," Dmytro Kuleba stressed in an address to the meeting participants.
Ukraine Reform Conference, which will be held in Vilnius on July 7, 2020, as well as a series of preparatory activities in the Ukrainian regions that will precede the conference will become a landmark event next year.
"It is utterly important for the Reanimation Package of Reforms (RPR) to have a partnership with the Government. Today's meeting demonstrates that everyone is committed to a working-level consultations and engagement. Therefore, we propose to consider the roadmap of the reforms we have shaped, and to continue to cooperate, Yuliia Kyrychenko, Co-chairwoman of the RPR Coalition Board.
During the Q&A session, experts and officials spoke about the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, the fulfillment of Ukraine's obligations in the environmental and financial sectors, and priorities of Euro-Atlantic integration.
The meeting was attended by the experts of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform, RPR Coalition and the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
