The Government at its meeting on December 27, approved a draft law "On mediation". The bill stipulates for an out-of-court settlement of disputes through a special mediator.
"This will significantly reduce the time and cost of court proceedings for people and businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones," Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk said.
The bill defines the scope of mediation, its principles, requirements for the mediator, his rights, duties and responsibilities, as well as the mediation of the rights and obligations of the parties.
The possibility of resolving the conflict based on the results of the agreements reached is a small financial cost and reduction of the terms of the solution. In addition, adoption of the bill will reduce both the burden on the courts and the number of disputed court decisions.
