Today, the support of Ukraine's international partners is extremely important and unprecedented. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the annual meeting of companies-members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister said that the prime ministers of the three countries, a large group of MEPs as well as foreign ministers were currently in Ukraine.

"We are negotiating not only on threats and countering aggression, but also on strengthening cooperation, joint infrastructure projects, development and investment," stressed Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister highlighted that thanks to the concerted actions of the authorities and the support of international partners, Ukraine’s economy had begun to recover from consequences of the coronavirus-inflicted crisis. This is evidenced by more than 3% GDP growth in 2021 and a record GDP of more than USD 195 billion.

"We have an absolute overfulfillment of the budget as a result of the last year, and the burden on business in percentage terms decreases year on year. We have a 6% increase in real incomes," the Head of Government said, adding that the average salary in Ukraine in December 2021 reached almost USD 600.

The Prime Minister also noted the incredible rise in the IT sector: "An increase to USD 5 billion in 2020 and USD 7 billion in 2021. Today, the Ukrainian IT service is becoming one of the main players on the IT map of Europe."

According to the Prime Minister, the construction industry grew by almost 6%. He stressed that the state would actively develop this area through affordable mortgage lending programs and the implementation of a large number of infrastructure projects.

Moreover, the Prime Minister noted the record export figures – USD 68 billion (an almost 40% increase).

Denys Shmyhal stressed that the state would continue to work to improve the investment climate to ensure making business in Ukraine becomes easier and more comfortable.
