Ukraine to obtain USD 841 million in budget support from the World Bank under the guarantees of Canada

Ukraine will shortly receive USD 841 million in budgetary support from the World Bank under the guarantees of the Government of Canada. The funds are provided within the PEACE in Ukraine project. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi.
According to the Head of Government, the financing will be directed to reimbursement of State Budget expenditures on pension payments.
"Amid budget deficit and fiscal imbalance, this is rather crucial and timely support," noted Sergii Koretskyi.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked to the Government of Canada and the World Bank for the substantial and consistent support for Ukraine.
