At the expense of state support for
regional development, in particular of the State Regional Development Fund and
the resource planned for subvention for consolidated communities, in 2017 the
regions have launched implementation of 2,800 infrastructure projects, thus making it possible to assert
the new quality of education,
infrastructure, medical and social provision in communities and rural areas is
being introduced. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional
Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko stressed on air of
Channel 5.
"Regional policy should be discussed in
terms of opportunities. In
rural areas, about 31% of Ukrainian citizens reside, hence it is crucial to
create conditions to maintain and develop such human potential. Rural
areas provide the largest share of gross domestic product, which is then converted
into currency reserves of the country", said Hennadii
Zubko.
