Vice Prime Minister met with Prime Minister of Georgia
Vice Prime Minister
of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko in
the framework of a working trip
to Tbilisi held a meeting with Prime Minister
of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili. The sides discussed
issues pertaining to settlement of
social problems of internally displaced
persons from the occupied territories.
"The purpose
of my visit
is to get
acquainted with the experience of Georgia in
solving the social problems of internally displaced
persons and refugees from the
occupied territories. Unfortunately, we are faced with
a large scale in solving these
issues. Georgian experience is important
for us both
from the point of view
of verified in practice algorithms
of corresponding decisions, and in terms of
overcoming the problems that arise
here," Pavlo Rozenko emphasized.
"The Ukrainian
side praises the results of
the recent state visit of
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko
to Georgia. In its turn,
the Government of Ukraine approved
the establishment of a strategic partnership between Ukraine and Georgia,
which has become a political and logical result
of more than
25 years of development of diplomatic relations between our countries,"
underlined the Vice Prime Minister
and stressed that strategic goals and directions
of policy coordination, enshrined in the Declaration
on the Establishment
of Strategic Partnership between Ukraine and Georgia,
will undoubtedly contribute to further
deepening of mutual cooperation, democratic and sustainable development of the two
states.
Pavlo Rozenko commended
an intensification of the political
dialogue between Ukraine and Georgia,
including in the framework of
inter-parliamentary cooperation,
as well as
cooperation in all spheres and
sectors of
Ukrainian-Georgian bilateral relations
and the interaction
of states in international organizations. He also noted the
positive dynamics in the development
of interstate trade and economic
relations.
On behalf of
the Cabinet of Ministers, Pavlo
Rozenko assured the Government of Georgia of
an unwavering support of
Ukraine for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity in its
internationally recognized borders, as well
as adherence to the non-recognition
policy regarding the self-proclaimed republics of Abkhazia
and South Ossetia. "I want to express gratitude
to the Government
of Georgia for the consistent
support of Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity in its struggle
against the Kremlin’s armed aggression and the occupation of the Russian
Federation of Ukrainian territories," underscored the Vice Prime Minister.
