Additional funds to the tune of UAH 186 million were allocated on treatment of patients abroad

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the law “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine” On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2017”, which among other things, envisages allocation of additional funds in the amount of UAH 186 million for the state program “Treatment of Ukrainian citizens abroad”.

After the approval of all necessary documents on allocation of funds by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine will submit amendments to the Passport of the budget program "Treatment of Ukrainian Citizens Abroad" for consideration. The Ministry of Healthcare closely cooperates with the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine as well as keeps the issue on the allocation of additional funding for sending Ukrainian citizens for treatment abroad under review. After disbursement of funds, there will be shortly summoned a meeting of the Commission on sending citizens for treatment abroad. The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine spares no effort to hold a meeting of the said Commission and to adopt all key decisions which will enable people to seize the opportunity of the program for treatment abroad.
