Breakthrough in sectoral decentralization expected in 2017
The projects implemented in consolidated communities is the
materialization of the reform of local governance much expected by the whole
country. Schools, kindergartens, roads, street lighting, central heating transfer
to alternative energy sources - these things are becoming possible, when it is
you, each particular community, that is defining strategies and priorities for your
own development. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional
Development, Building, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii
Zubko, addressing the participants of the forum “From
creating of consolidated communities towards sustainable growth”.
“The future
of the state depends on action, priorities and strategy of each particular
community. It is of utmost importance that through the tools of budgetary
decentralization, introduction of a model of the New Ukrainian school, pursuing of the healthcare reform, planning of
territories, establishment of Administrative Service Centres
the consolidated communities could reach an entirely different quality of
services. We expect that 2017 will see a breakthrough in sectoral
decentralization”, emphasized Hennadii Zubko.
