The Pension Fund deficit shows a tendency towards decrease. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the meeting of the National Trilateral Social-Economic Council.

The Head of Government reminded about a decision on the twofold increase of minimum wage, thus already in January 4 million Ukrainian citizens had received a higher pay.

In this regard, Volodymyr Groysman highlighted that due to the rise of the minimum wage up to 3200 hryvnias, the unemployment rate is gradually decreasing.

“It is apparent that an employment rate is growing, unemployment is falling, respectively. The number of vacancies in the labour market has grown by 47%. This is only the beginning”, stressed Prime Minister.

An essential goal of the Government in 2017 is formation of new approaches and introducing a fair pension system, underlined Volodymyr Groysman.

The Government engages in elaboration of such solutions and will soon be ready to offer necessary decisions, said the PM, adding that the current agenda is to provide increased retirement payments for the Ukrainian citizens.
