A decentralization reform has been and still remains a top priority in 2017. The main objective of it in the current year includes the advancement of the reform along the core sectors, such as education, medicine, the system of administrative services, land relations, road infrastructure, territorial planning. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadii Zubko at a meeting on decentralization chaired by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Odessa with participation of representatives of CTC (Consolidated Territorial Communities), chairmen of regional state administrations from all southern regions.

"Among the core issues are filling local budgets, the effective use of funds, including the disbursement of subventions for the development of CTC infrastructure and a resource of the State Regional Development Fund (SRDF). We must ensure maximum coordination along the entire power vertical, starting with central and ending with regional and district administrations, local self-government bodies and CTC heads", noted Hennadii Zubko. He added that "Government’s assistance to communities, that are already 366 in number, in 2017 will make up as follows: the subvention for the CTC – UAH 1.5 billion, SRDF – UAH 3.5 billion, the state support for social and economic development of communities – UAH 4 billion".

Today, January 12, Hennadii Zubko is taking part in a working trip of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Odessa and Mykolayiv regions.
