On Karachun mountain under Sloviansk the reconstruction of TV tower started

On 25 June 2016, the Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine, in the framework of her working visit to Kramatorsk, visited the TV tower on Karachun.

Recall that in early July, last year during the fighting, the TV tower on Karachun was destroyed, that deprived a large area of the northern part of Donetsk region the Ukrainian broadcasting. Currently, there are 18 sections of a future communication top-loaded vertical antenna, and there should be 24. There is no clear time frame of construction yet. Installation of the TV tower will take more than three months, the budget of reconstruction of the tower is approximately 10 million USD. The coverage area of the broadcasting tower is 68 km. The tower will be filled with modern equipment. The broadcasting of 14 analog television channels, 4 digital transmitters, and 12 radio transmitters is planned to be provided.

"At the moment, the foundation of the tower is in the process of rebuilding. It is expected that its installation will take about 3 months. The construction in our country is an unpredictable thing, so it may be delayed," said Tetiana Popova.
