The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine hopes that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will adopt a law on the electricity market in fall. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this at the Ukraine Energy Conference on Thursday.

"We hope that the Parliament will adopt this law in fall. We consider it as one of the priorities,"  he said.

The Government is working with Ukrainian MPs and factions of the Ukrainian Parliament, Volodymyr Groysman pointed out. "We understand that in fact it will be approved, which is a very positive signal from the Ukrainian Parliament," he said.

The Prime Minister also noted that work on improving the law on the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities is under way which will help increase the independence of the national regulator.
