PM assures Government to continue competitive selection of management of state enterprises despite attempts to block this process
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will continue the competitive
selection of management of state-owned enterprises, despite the attempts to
block this process through judicial decisions.
"The Government will not accept any illegal use of the law. And our
task today is to keep on the competative selection of the management of those enterprises
that are state-owned. We believe that the process of privatization, as well as
rebooting the management of state-owned enterprises, is very important
anticorruption step that will have a very positive impact on the development of
the national economy, " stated Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman at the Ukraine Energy Conference on Thursday.
The Prime Minister believes that decisions of the judges who block the
appointment of heads of state enterprises, selected as a result of open, public
competitions, "are in the nature of the suspension of" the replacement
of enterprises’ management.
"I as Prime Minister of Ukraine have sent to the control judicial bodies
an appeal with every fact of the adoption of such a decision, with the names of
judges and courts, with the request to cope, in our view, with inappropriate
behavior of judges. Now, these proceedings are already in the High Council of
Justice, High Qualification Commission of Judges," he informed.
"We honor and respect the law and we will defend the rights of the state
to use all legal methods, and we will do it quite efficiently," Volodymyr
Groysman emphasized.
The Head of Government noted that many enterprises, which already faced
the change of management, selected through competetive mechanisms, also tried
to block this process through judicial decisions.
