The Government is interested in open, transparent and effective privatization of state enterprises in Ukraine, and will respond to attempts to block this process. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this at the Ukraine Energy Conference on Thursday, June 30.

"The Government does its utmost in order to ensure transparent and effective privatization,  said Volodymyr Groysman. We are interested in the open and transparent process of privatization, as well as in the success of this process. "

The Prime Minister recalled that the Government had begun the privatization of Odesa Portside Plant. Answering about possible attempts to block the privatization by the persons concerned, the Prime Minister pointed out. Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that despite the possible attempts the Government will act according to the situation when it occurs.

The Prime Minister noted that delaying the privatization process threatens the interests of the state.

"The reason for the delay of privatization can always be found. Ukraine is interested in public privatization without any preferential conditions,"  he stressed.
