  • Volodymyr Groysman discussed with his Moldovan counterpart Pavel Filip urgent issues of bilateral cooperation

    On Thursday, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip.

    The sides discussed priority issues of cooperation between the two countries.

    The Prime Ministers agreed to get back to the practical work of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan joint commission on trade and economic cooperation which have not conducted its meetings since 2011. Volodymyr Groysman said that the Intergovernmental commission has to become an effective and key institutional mechanism for bilateral cooperation.

    The sides also discussed the situation with existing restrictions on trade between the two countries and agreed to search mutually acceptable solutions aimed at establishing full trade cooperation.

    Moldovan Prime Minister invited Volodymyr Groysman to take part in celebrations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Moldova, to be held in Chisinau on August 27 this year.
