Ukrainian delegation takes part in COMEDS meeting in Dublin
In June,
Dublin (Ireland) hosted a meeting of COMEDS. Its participants
discussed the issues of collective security, medical maintenance and
tendencies of further development of medical support of the NATO
nations and partners.
The
Ukrainian delegation held a range of discussions with heads
of medical services of other countries. Particularly, they met with
the representatives of the USA, the UK, Canada, Germany, Bulgaria,
Estonia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ireland and discussed the current issues
on involvement of expert assistance concerning analysis and reforms
of military medical service, extension of technical and advisory
assistance, fulfillment of Geneva conventions concerning medical
specialists in the east of Ukraine, NATO educational and scientific programs,
establishment of the Instructor’s Tactical medicine Centre and
implementation of educational programs and certification of military
personnel in the framework of reforms of the medical service
of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and realization of the Strategic Defence Bulletin. The parties stressed their interest
to continue and develop cooperation with Ukraine.
