Ukraine to have 10 thousand patrol police officers by the end of the year, - Arsen Avakov

By the end of March next year patrol police units have to kick off in all
cities of the state. The
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stated this at the opening ceremony of a reception
office for application forms to the new patrol police in the city of Cherkasy, on 21 September.
The Interior Minister noted that at the beginning of last year Ukraine had
170,000 militiamen and it will have 152,000 employees of the National Police. In
addition, the number of patrol police officers will amount 10 thousand people by
the end of the year.
“I believe that till March 2016 patrol police will operate in all cities across the country,” said Arsen Avakov.
