Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Financial investigation service should replace tax police under the SFS supervision

"The tax police should sink into oblivion. We shall transfer to a western-model approach – we should establish a professional financial investigation service within the State Fiscal Service", stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a Government meeting on Wednesday, August 5.

According to the Prime Minister, the financial investigation service should be demilitarized but with brains and strong personalities “who will be able to track all the tax evasion schemes, existing conversion centers, the formation of illegal tax benefits".

Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded that the previous year the Cabinet of Ministers had submitted an appropriate bill to the Parliament and commissioned to prepare a draft law to submit to Parliament an initiative regarding financial investigation service.
