Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with a EBRD delegation
On Friday, June 5, Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with the delegation of the Board of
Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, who paid a
visit to Ukraine.
The Prime Minister highly
appreciated a EBRD decision to significantly increase the
volume of investments into Ukraine in the current and previous years. Peculiarly
important are viewed financing by the Bank of projects on energy security,
energy efficiency, infrastructure development.
A good example of
successful cooperation between the Government and the EBRD also appears the
founding and launch of activities by Business Ombudsman, with appointment of a
former member of the European Commission Algirdas Šemeta.
Another promising direction of work will be the involvement of the EBRD experts
to improve the public procurement system.
