Following week President and Prime Minister to gather representatives of regions to tackle law on voluntary association of communities

The association of communities should be created entirely on a voluntary basis: "It involves the concentration of additional resources in hands of territorial communities, providing them with additional powers and creating strong local communities," stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Friday, June 5, during An Hour of Questions to the Government in Parliament.

He emphasized the unification process should be exceptionally deliberate: "We are not talking about unification under compulsion, but a solely voluntary association of communities".

The Prime Minister informed that to clarify the implementation of this law he together with the President of Ukraine had decided to summon a meeting of representatives of local communities next week "to clearly explain the process of creating such voluntary association of citizens."

At this, the PM promised he would appeal to the President to invite MPs to this gathering - "to make our joint administrative reform".
