Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Today Ukraine is defending Europe

The only way to counter aggression of Putin is to act together and respond very clearly and strictly. "This is the only language understood by Putin," stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in an interview with The Sunday Times.

"Putin wages a war against the free world and Ukraine has become a battlefield", said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

According to the PM, a goal of the President of the Russian Federation “is to eliminate Ukraine, take control of its entire territory and show the West that his world of autocracy, dictatorship and kleptocracy has succeeded”.

"Today Ukraine is defending Europe," he stressed.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk accentuated that President Putin "has transferred into full confrontation with the West”, "He wants to split the European Union, to achieve tension between the EU member states, and to destroy the unity between the EU and the United States".

"The only way is to act together and to respond to the aggression of Putin very clearly, strictly and rigidly. This is the only language understood by Putin", stressed the Head of Government.
