Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Agreement with the EU will be ratified. The Government will start its implementation from the very first day

"After the ratification of the Agreement, the Ukrainian side will start implementation of every item the Agreement contains. We'll bring the entire Ukrainian legislation in compliance with the EU standards", - said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the Eleventh annual meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES) "New Ukraine, New Europe, New World: Building and Defending" in Kyiv on Saturday, September 13.

He stressed that the Government is willing to take a resolution with the action plan on implementation of the Agreement: "We won't wait."

Answering the journalists' questions, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, emphasized: "The Agreement will be ratified. It will take effect. The Government, from the first day after the Agreement comes in force, shall implement this Agreement. None will wait".

According to him, the European Union has done what they did six months ago:" The European Union’s market is open for Ukraine. In this way they supported the Ukrainian economy".

"Russia wanted to change the text of the Agreement, not to give a chance for Ukraine to ratify it and to force the EU to refuse the Deal. It has failed," said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

"Now it depends on Ukraine - after the ratification of the Agreement whether we implement and stick to each point. We are ready to do it", - stressed the Head of Government.

It should be noted, on September 11, following the meeting with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, Arseniy Yatsenyuk declared that the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union will be simultaneously ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament on September16.
