Arseniy Yatsenyuk: The situation in Ukraine is not the problem of Ukraine alone, but the joint responsibility of the entire world
The
situation in Ukraine implies a joint responsibility of the entire world for the
global security, but not just a Ukrainian problem," stressed the Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in an interview with Channel 5 on Friday,
September 12.
The Head of Government stressed that Ukraine expects from its western partners certain financial aid and being acknowledged as a particular partner of the United States of America, that is not a member of NATO: "Third is technical assistance to support real reforms. Fourth is the help in the military sector, such as developing logistics of the army and military-technical cooperation. And fifth is the pressure and firm position of our western partners, the United States and the European Union, in relation to the Russian Federation".
Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted: "An issue of territorial integrity of the state is outside the discussion. Donetsk and Luhansk have always been and should be a part of Ukraine. As for peace, I advocate the principle that the country needs peace. But the peace cannot just be presented. We must fight for it".
"Putin can't be trusted, as he set a goal long ago and will move towards it. The implementation of the peace plan is vital. And to implement the peace plan we need to have at the table the United States of America and the European Union", - stressed the Head of Government.
"We have to do a lot to attain real peace in Ukraine, to make the Russians take away their thugs and terrorists for we could regain control of the border. And this can only be achieved, when we are all together," - said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
