Ukraine to receive USD 51.5 million from the Government of Japan for healthcare system development

Ukraine has secured USD 51.5 million from the Government of Japan under the World Bank's THRIVE project to support the development of the healthcare system. This was announced by Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi.
According to him, the funds have already reached the State Budget and will boost the Medical Guarantees Program along with strengthening the institutional capacity of the National Health Service of Ukraine.
"THRIVE totals USD 1.2 billion — Ukraine has received USD 449 million so far. We are grateful to the Government of Japan and the World Bank for their steady support of Ukraine, and for their contribution to our financial resilience and the development of our healthcare system," the Head of Government emphasized.
