Government has taken necessary measures to finance pre-term Parliamentary elections

To ensure execution of the decree of the President of Ukraine "On early termination of powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and announcement of early elections", the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision on the allocation to the Central Election Commission UAH 957 792.7 thousand to ensure preparation and holding on October 26 extraordinary elections of MPs.

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to carry out allocation of the mentioned funds from the Reserve Fund of the State Budget.

The Government also commissioned the Finance Ministry to prepare a draft appeal to the President and the Verkhovna Rada on the initiation of the urgent amendments to the electoral legislation targeting reduction of expenditure needs contained in the State Budget for the preparation and holding of extraordinary elections of members of Ukraine’s Parliament.
