The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Ostap Semerak announced in an interview with "New time" on 12 August.

"We encourage activists, independent experts to work jointly. With this aim we have created a Reform Support Centre - a platform for communication and cooperation between the members of the Government, activists and experts. Today we have over 10 panels dealing with reform projects ", - he said.

According to him, the work of the expert groups is financially supported by the Renaissance Foundation. "We are not capable to finance them. But the Secretariat has provided facilities for their work, technical resources and access to decision-making centres. Activists take part in meetings of the governmental committees and Government’s sessions. And the most important is we consider the drafts elaborated by these panels and send our draft documents to them for expertise," said the Minister.

O. Semerak also informed that among such experts are four audit companies (PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG) that work on a voluntary basis. "The experts of these reputable companies are present at each meeting, where we consider financial and economic affairs of the public sector. We take into account their views when making decisions," he explained.
