The team of international experts has announced that the MH17 recovery mission completed the first phase of the search for Boeing-777 wreckage and victims’ bodies because of the situation related to terrorist provocations that are threatening the safety of experts who worked at the crash site. There are still three local areas with the debris that haven’t been searched yet.

In the near future, the experts will discuss the prospects for a possible start date of the second phase of the recovery work. Before deciding to continue the search the most of experts will leave Ukraine, except a few ones who will stay for communication and coordination.

The experts of the recovery mission concluded that the ceasefire regime in the zone of the accident is not required during the break between phases of the investigation.

Pay attention to the fact that the order of the President of Ukraine on the ceasefire in the zone of the search operation is valid. Ukrainian military, as before, will conduct no military actions in the 20-km radius around the site of the tragedy.
