Vitaly Yarema meets Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Christoph Weil

On March 20, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaly Yarema met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Christoph Weil.

The parties in a friendly atmosphere discussed the situation in Ukraine, focusing separately on close cooperation with the European Union.

Christoph Weil convinced that Ukraine has great potential on European markets.

Vitaly Yarema assured the Ambassador that the Ukrainian government was aware of its responsibility to the people and ready to comply with the terms of the international community for country’s development. "We are working every day at the Ukrainian economy restoration and creation of a favorable investment climate in Ukraine", the First Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

He also said that the government heeds advice of international experts, including German ones, as Germany strongly supports Ukraine and its development in this difficult time. Vitaly Yarema thanked German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her initiative to establish a joint EU mission to assist Ukraine, aimed at providing financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 11 billion euros.
