Communication without borders - the President signed the law on a single roaming zone with the EU
Ukrainians will enjoy no additional charges for mobile communications and the Internet in the 27 EU countries. The same conditions will be provided to users of European operators travelling to Ukraine.
"The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation continues to work to ensure that Ukraine joins the roaming visa-free regime with the EU. The adoption of the draft law is an important step towards this. Next, we need to receive a positive assessment of the legislative changes from the European side and start negotiations on joining the single roaming space with the EU. After all, our goal is to maintain low tariffs for Ukrainians on a permanent basis even after the victory," said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation.
Ukraine is the first and so far the only EU candidate country to join the EU Roam Like at Home policy. This is another proof that our country is a powerful digital player on the European arena.
We are grateful to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Digital Transformation for its work on the draft law and to the European Union for sending a strong political signal.
We are moving together towards a single digital space with the European Union.
