Made in Ukraine: Ukrainian businesses to further receive 15% compensation on industrial machinery and equipment
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution to keep in place the mechanism for partial compensation of the cost of domestically made industrial machinery and equipment. The decision will continue to support Ukrainian machine builders and boost demand for their products. The pilot project was developed by the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine as part of the Made in Ukraine state policy.
The programme compensates 15% of the cost, excluding VAT, of Ukrainian-made industrial machinery and equipment. Its aim is to stimulate domestic demand for products made by Ukrainian machine-building companies, support domestic manufacturing, and create additional opportunities for upgrading production capacity.
"We continue to support Ukrainian machine building and boost demand for products made by domestic companies. The programme compensating 15% of the cost of machinery and equipment has already proved its effectiveness, so it is important to keep it running. It helps businesses cut the cost of modernising their production, while Ukrainian machine builders win new orders, expand output, and invest in their own growth. It is one of the instruments of the Made in Ukraine state policy, which aims to develop Ukrainian manufacturing, attract investment into the real sector of the economy, and increase non-commodity exports," said Deputy Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraine Vitalii Kindrativ.
As before, compensation will be available for industrial machinery and equipment made in Ukraine with a localisation level above 40%. The product must be on the list approved by the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine.
Legal entities, sole proprietors, and municipal enterprises that meet the programme's requirements can apply.
To receive compensation, buyers must purchase machinery or equipment from the approved list and submit an application through an authorised bank. Payments will be made from the state budget in line with the established procedure.
The programme has been extended until 30 September 2028.
As a reminder, the programme compensating the cost of Ukrainian machinery and equipment has been running since October 2024. Over that time, 1,546 products from 62 Ukrainian machine-building companies have been added to the list of machinery and equipment eligible for partial state compensation.
Extending the programme will preserve an effective mechanism for supporting Ukrainian manufacturers, boost domestic demand for industrial machinery and equipment, and help strengthen Ukraine's industrial capacity.
