Made in Ukraine: Ministry of Economy approves 16 new grants for processing companies for over UAH 81 million

Another 16 companies and entrepreneurs will be eligible for state support under the Grants for Processing Companies program. The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture has approved a new list of applications that have been reviewed and scored the required number of points. The total amount of grants approved is over UAH 81.3 million, of which about UAH 38 million will be financed by the Ministry of Economy and the rest by the State Employment Service of Ukraine.

The grant program is part of the Made in Ukraine policy for the development of Ukrainian producers. On a co-financing basis, processing companies receive funds to modernize existing equipment, purchase and launch new equipment.

"In this wave, another 16 processing companies got the opportunity to attract a grant from the state for development. The total amount of funds applied for is over UAH 81 million. Among them are manufacturers of food, clothing, metal and plastic building materials, equipment, UAVs, and metalworking companies. In total, since the beginning of the year, we have already approved 192 applications for over UAH 955.6 million. I would like to remind you that in July, the Government added another important area to the grant program - grants for recovery. Processing companies whose facilities were damaged by the shelling will be given additional funds to rebuild," said Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

In addition to grants for recovery, the Government has introduced other additional clauses in the updated Procedure for the implementation of the Grants for Processing Enterprises program that expand its scope:

Enterprises that grow perennial crops and are registered in the State Agrarian Register can receive a grant to purchase equipment for post-harvest processing of agricultural products.

Grant funds can now also be used to purchase immaterial assets, such as research to launch new products into mass production (R&D).

If a project consists exclusively of Ukrainian-made equipment, as evidenced by a certificate of origin, it is eligible for 30/70 co-financing: 30% contribution from the participant and 70% grant funds.

Only those companies that have already received a grant and fulfilled all obligations under the previous agreement (after the Ministry of Economy approves the act on the fulfillment of the terms of the previous grant) can apply for a grant again.

Please note that applications are submitted on a regular basis, in waves of two weeks. Documents can be submitted through the Diia platform.

The terms of the grant program provide for 50/50 co-financing for most companies and 80/20 for drone manufacturers, printing companies, companies in the frontline regions and those affected by russian missiles and drones.
