Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with business leaders at a meeting of the Entrepreneurship Support Council. Together with the Head of the President’s Office and line ministers, the participants discussed key challenges facing the economy: war risks, labor shortages, support for defense production, deregulation, and the impact of European integration on business.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, the Government is implementing programs to support entrepreneurs affected by russian shelling. War risk insurance is in effect: for frontline regions, compensation for losses up to UAH 30 million; for others, compensation for the cost of the insurance premium up to UAH 3 million. A grant program is available for the restoration of production equipment up to UAH 16 million. And the Support Point program has just been launched to preserve jobs during the recovery period—businesses can receive compensation for a part of salaries and social security contributions.

“The Made in Ukraine policy promotes the development of Ukrainian manufacturers. Localization in public procurement and programs for partial compensation of the cost of Ukrainian equipment create additional sales markets. Grants for equipment, Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% with an investment limit of up to UAH 150 million, industrial parks, and support for projects with significant investments provide access to affordable financing and industrial infrastructure,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Yulia Svyrydenko also urged entrepreneurs to join efforts to prepare for the coming winter and implement Regional Resilience Plans. The Government’s goal is to achieve 4 GW of distributed electricity generation by the next heating season. And businesses can install part of this capacity.

“We have two loan programs for small and medium-sized enterprises for their own power generation—up to UAH 10 million for cogeneration at 0% interest and up to UAH 250 million for any type of generation under the 5-7-9 terms. And we are preparing a loan program for large businesses. A simplified procedure for changing the designated use of land for the construction of energy facilities is in effect,” said the Head of Government.
