Yulia Svyrydenko: We are launching a pilot project eCheck — a state programme for electronic checks in your banking
The Government continues to systematically simplify the conditions for doing business in Ukraine and to support entrepreneurs even in the context of full-scale war. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced the launch of the eCheck pilot project — a state programme for electronic checks that will work directly in banking applications.
The pilot project is already underway in four banks:
• PrivatBank
• FUIB
• VST bank
• monobank
Leading retail chains and gas stations have also joined the initiative:
• Aurora
• Fora
• Auchan
• Ukrnafta
"This will help businesses save millions of hryvnias every year. After all, printing one receipt costs 7 kopecks. According to the State Tax Service, Ukrainian entrepreneurs issued more than 9 billion receipts last year alone. In addition, this will help the environment. The thermal paper used to print receipts usually contains bisphenols, which cannot be recycled," commented the Head of Government.
For buyers who pay by card — in a store or online — a digital receipt will automatically appear in the customer's banking app. It will be stored in digital format and will always be available for returns, exchanges, or warranty service.
During the testing period, buyers will be offered both options — digital and paper receipts.
The Government invites entrepreneurs to join the testing phase and switch to a more modern and efficient model of operation.
