Government launches Veteran PRO online platform, bringing together all key government services for veterans and veteran families
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko emphasised that veterans’ policy should be built not on benefits, but on creating conditions for a dignified life, professional development, and new opportunities for defenders.
“It is important that military experience becomes an advantage – in work, business, and life. That is precisely why we have launched the online platform Veteran PRO, which unites all key state services for veterans and veterans’ families,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko during the presentation alongside the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Nataliia Kalmykova.
The Veteran PRO platform allows users to select their status and automatically receive a personalised pathway – from document processing to opportunities for education, employment, treatment, or starting one’s own business.
As a result, veterans no longer need to search for information on benefits, programmes, or assistance across dozens of websites – all services are gathered in one place.
During regional trips, the government team regularly meets with veterans to hear their needs, gather feedback, and improve state services.
“Veterans are a special community that does not wait or ask, but acts, seeks opportunities, develops their own businesses and communities. The Government’s task is to be there alongside them, not with formal certificates or complicated procedures, but with real support,” stressed Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine also announced that the Government is continuing work on the systematic improvement of policy in the veterans’ sphere.
Within the next two weeks, it is planned to complete the development of the Code of Laws on the Defenders of Ukraine and submit the document to the Verkhovna Rada.
The Chairman of the Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, confirmed the Verkhovna Rada’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at developing veterans’ policy.
