Yulia Svyrydenko: Government launches SvitloDim — a programme to support apartment buildings with autonomous power supply
The Government is launching SvitloDim — a programme to support apartment buildings with autonomous power supply during prolonged power outages. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"The Cabinet has decided to provide state aid ranging from UAH 100,000 to UAH 300,000 to condominium associations, housing and service cooperatives, and managers of apartment buildings of any form of ownership for the purchase of generators, batteries, inverters, and other power equipment. Co-owners' associations and building managers can submit applications online through Diia. Applications will be reviewed and approved by a commission under the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development. The funds must be used within 45 days," Yulia Svyrydenko said.
The programme shall operate in communities facing energy emergencies, starting with Kyiv city and the region.
The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development will provide additional information on the start of accepting applications for assistance under the programme.
