Energy equipment continues to arrive in Ukraine from international partners. For its part, the Government is providing the necessary logistical support, simplifying the regulatory procedures for customs clearance of the imported equipment, and facilitating its rapid connection. This was reported by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to the Head of Government, to restore electricity supply to communities, hospitals, and critical infrastructure facilities in regions facing difficult energy supply situations, partners have provided backup power equipment with a total capacity of over 145 MW:
- 447 generators with a capacity of over 7 MW from the EU;
- 78 boilers with a capacity of 112 MW from Italy;
- 2 cogeneration units from Germany with a capacity of 3.8 MW;
- 379 generators with a capacity of 4.5 MW from Poland;
- 30 generators with a total capacity of 3.4 MW from France;
- 106 generators with a capacity of 15.1 MW from UNICEF.
Equipment from Azerbaijan, Estonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Slovakia, France, Czechia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Japan is en route.
“We express our gratitude to Italy, Ireland, Germany, and the United Kingdom for their contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
For its part, the Government is providing the necessary logistical support, simplifying regulatory procedures for customs clearance of the imported equipment, and facilitating its rapid connection. We expect communities to install and connect it promptly,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Head of Government expressed gratitude to international partners who responded to Ukraine’s request and provided emergency support packages in response to the current needs for restoring energy infrastructure and ensuring additional sources of power generation.
“We are grateful to everyone supporting Ukraine – both governments and representatives of civil society in partner countries,” stressed the Prime Minister.
