Yulia Svyrydenko: Ukraine receives EUR 3.9 billion in defense support from the EU

An additional EUR 3.9 billion has been transferred to a Special Fund of the State Budget from the European Union. This is the first tranche of defense support under the new financial instrument, the Ukraine Support Loan. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“These funds will be used to finance priority defense needs—the production of Ukrainian drones, strengthening the capabilities of the defense industry, and ensuring urgent deliveries for the frontline,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to her, on June 25, the State Budget received EUR 3.2 billion in budgetary support under the same loan.

“With today’s disbursement, the total amount Ukraine has received through the Ukraine Support Loan has reached EUR 7 billion,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized.
