Yulia Svyrydenko: Creating more educational opportunities so young people can fulfil their potential in Ukraine

The Government is expanding learning opportunities and modernising educational infrastructure. Creating the best possible conditions for those studying in Ukraine remains a key priority, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said at the “Education of the New Ukraine 2.0” conference held in Kyiv.

“Ukrainian young people must have every opportunity to fulfil their potential here, in Ukraine. Every young person should be able to choose their own path and become whoever they aspire to be. Modern, high-quality education is the essential foundation for this. This idea is at the heart of the ‘Education of the New Ukraine 2.0’ conference,” the Prime Minister said. “It is about changes that are already taking place and that we will continue to scale up.”

Yulia Svyrydenko stressed that the Government is strengthening the safety of education through the construction of underground schools and the modernisation of educational infrastructure. Efforts include the creation of state-of-the-art STEM laboratories and the upgrading of vocational education institutions. The Government is also providing free school meals for all pupils and expanding scholarships and exchange programmes for university students.

“Young people should not have to put their dreams and ambitions on hold because of the war. They must be able to study, develop and build their future in Ukraine,” the Prime Minister said.
