Local governments have started filling in the Unified State Register of Addresses.
It will become a single database of addresses, where each settlement, street or house will have a unique identifier.
More than a thousand communities have already been trained on how to work with the register, received access to the Register’s accounts and are starting to verify addresses.
Most addresses have already been verified in Sumy – 94%, and in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region – 90%. Among the communities, the Lokachyn territorial community of Volyn region is the most efficient, with 95% of addresses verified.
During 2024-2025, communities will have to conduct an inventory of real estate and land plots as part of the implementation of the National Revenue Strategy until 2030. High-quality data in the registry will help avoid errors or inaccuracies in databases and ensure transparency in tax calculation.
The creation of the Unified State Register of Addresses is being implemented in cooperation between the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Digital Transformation with the support of the Digital Transformation Activity funded by USAID and UK Dev.
