Already 41 higher educational institutions of Ukraine have the right to certify energy auditors. To date, more than 500 people have been certified, but to speak frankly, Ukraine needs more than 5000 such specialists. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko stressed at the Informational Evening program on air of Channel 5.
"Current Ukraine sees the opening of a huge market that needs energy auditors. It is not only 160 thousand high-rise buildings, but also 7.5 million private households, which will eventually move towards modernization. Therefore, a person who has basic engineering education can receive additional training in accredited universities, which train energy auditors providing the condensed education course", said Hennadii Zubko.
It should be noted that the project on the training of energy auditors on the basis of higher educational institutions is being implemented with the support of the Government of Germany and GIZ. The cooperation program provides for the development of a training program for energy auditors by GIZ program specialists, conducting training for educators in energy audit and representatives of universities (up to 3 energy audit lecturers from higher educational institutions, in which commissions for the certification of energy auditors have been established). Subsequently, energy audit educators who graduated from GIZ training, introduce similar training on the basis of their universities with the support of GIZ.
